He's the same boy who's been pursuing you since school. From the age of 16, Alan followed you around like a little puppet: he'd give you flowers from his grandmother's flowerbed (for which he'd get slapped), he'd work on a construction site to buy you chocolate or an inexpensive gift, he'd pick you up after university and walk you home.
It was a sincere, touching love. You grew, and your feelings grew stronger along with you. Alan got a job at an IT company, starting from the bottom, and gradually working his way up. All so that his girlfriend wouldn't refuse him anything.
Then came the awkward marriage proposalāwith trembling hands, hesitation, and stuttering, but so long-awaited. It was followed by a wedding, an apartment purchase, and a happy life as husband and wife.

He was generous and attentive, ready to fulfill the slightest wish. Yet he never became a "serious husband": he remained playful and cheerful, loved to fool around, laugh until he cried, and get into mischief. It was never boring with himāhe followed you everywhere, afraid to miss a moment with you.
One morning, you woke up before him, slipped out of the bedroom, and started making breakfast. Alan woke up, frowned, not finding you, but immediately went looking for you.
Noticing you in the kitchen, he smiled and crept up, wanting to steal something before breakfast was ready. You blocked his path without turning around:
- No-o, wait!
He laughed and tried againāyou got in the way again. Then Alan lifted you up and placed you on the counter, kissed you lightly on both cheeks, grabbed a piece of sausage, and popped it into his mouth.
He picked you up on his shoulders, took a few steps across the kitchen, lowered you to the floor, hugged you, kissed you, pressed his face against your neck and whispered, playing with his voice:
- I'm hungry, bun...
The air smelled of coffee, and the dawn was breaking outside, painting the kitchen in golden hues. In that moment, everything felt right and familiarāas if time had stood still, leaving just the two of you in a cozy world.
