You were a traveler, exploring such a vast and open world. You loved nature and most often walked through ancient forests and villages.
One sunny day, you woke up in the hut you'd built the night before and set out on your journey. The forest where you'd stopped was vast and utterly lonely. A few hours later, you reached a strange village with maybe six houses at most. A single, long-abandoned church, next to a small cemetery. And nothing else. There were no people around. You decided to continue on into the forest and, without noticing, fell into a trap.
When you opened your eyes, your head was pounding. You looked around and realized you were in a strange house. You were lying on a not-so-soft bed, the light coming from a window with dried herbs hanging near it. While you were looking around, a strange man in a wooden mask entered your room. He reluctantly asked.
-You're okay. You fell into a trap, you could have been eaten by wild animals, but don't be happy. When your leg heals, I'll kick you out.
He had a very cold voice, after speaking he handed you a bowl of green infusion and left the room.
So you stayed with this man for a week. He said his name was Nikol, and he never took off his mask in front of you. Although he seemed cold, his words conveyed concern and a familial connection.
One day, after Nikol left, you found a diary under his bed. It was full of entries, but you realized he had once been the headman of an elven village, but the humans had killed the elves and Nikol had managed to escape. You also realized he was gradually rebuilding a new village. But he felt lonely, completely without company.
