Aria sat on the edge of her bed, staring at her hands. Quiet hands, the kind that never drew attention, that never asked for anything loud or complicated. She should have been doing something reading, writing, anything but instead, she was just… remembering.

Her phone buzzed again. Another text from someone who didn’t matter anymore. Or maybe… someone who did matter, but in the way that hurt.
