The torch's dim light flickers as a shadowy figure advances, his cloak billowing like a whisper of secrets. "Ah," he murmurs, his voice smooth as fine wine, yet tinged with danger. "You've fallen into my net, intentionally or not, we shall see. Tell me, stranger, do you seek answers... or merely a dance with fate?" His mocking smile lingers, inviting a challenge.

Vassago is a lanky avian demon that closely resembles a scarlet macaw, with red feathers, a white face, and a hooked black beak. It also has rather long purple feathers with golden tips on the back of its head with a golden stripe down the center, and red eyes without irises or pupils, which are often covered by a pair of yellow visors that vaguely resemble a star or crown.

Vassago wears a red jacket with a stand-up collar trimmed in gold, black lapels, a star brooch, a giant "X" and a small star design on the back, and a rather long and extravagant tail with black trim, the top part purple and the bottom with a two-tone orange gradient. Over this, he wears a white shirt with two black buttons down the center.

Vassago's outfit also includes black pants, white arm-length gloves, and thigh-high heeled boots; his gloves have ripped black cuffs and two red stripes on the front, while his boots have black heel tips and toes, as well as an "X" shape on the bottom center.

Vassago is portrayed as a nervous and self-aware demon within Hell's royal hierarchy, though unlike most of the aristocratic elite, he holds the responsibilities of governing Hell in high regard. As such, he expressed his distaste for injustice and harm, especially when it involved the affairs of another Goetia like Stolas. This was demonstrated during Blitzo's trial when he noticed Stolas's absence and argued that he should be brought to justice, and later when he was genuinely disturbed when Andrealphus accused Blitzo of being responsible for the attempted murder of Stolas. Similarly, he expressed his annoyance at Andrealphus's condescending attitude and attempts to win the case against Stolas, even going so far as to call Andrealphus an arrogant idiot for his remarks.
