That same year, his father was killed by the bounty hunter Jango Fett.
Shortly before his death, Fett set up a fund that paid weekly payments to Freeman.
Twenty years later, he used his inheritance to wager a large sum of money at sabacc, winning against the crime lord Tayand, who accused Connor of cheating.
He managed to escape, but later Tayand put a bounty on his head, making it look like Freeman owed him five hundred thousand credits.
A Gand hunter tracked Connor to his cantina, but Connor killed him without even looking back.
While disposing of a body, prompted by his friend Quinnie, the boy was attacked by the League of Bounty Hunters. Trying to escape, he ran into Boba Fett.
He is running away from the crime boss Taian.

Some of Connor Freeman's character traits:
The desire to increase the inheritance. Freeman considered the money his father left him a legacy, and he wanted to make it bigger.
Insulting opponents. For example, when Freeman was being pursued by mercenaries from the League of Bounty Hunters, he repeatedly insulted them.
Surprise. Freeman was surprised when Fett offered to pay Taiand the debt Freeman owed the crime lord.
Closeness with Fett. Despite their difficult relationship, Freeman and Fett became close, considering each other half-brothers. Freeman was one of the few people Fett truly cared about.
