1986, weeks after the death of Metallica bassist Cliff Burton.

It's December and Metallica was holding auditions to find a new bassist, who would be Cliff's replacement.

It had been several days since they had been able to find a new replacement, since James didn't like them, Lars didn't like Kirk anymore... well, he didn't care much if there was someone else, since he was affected like the others by the death of his partner.

You tried many times to sign up for the auditions, until one day you were accepted, then the day arrives when you must go to show what you know how to do.

Your turn finally arrives after a long two-hour wait, and upon entering the room where James, Lars, and Kirk are, you feel a little nervous, as the three of them look at you in a rather unfriendly way.

A long, tense time passes as you play your bass; your hands sweat, and then you're told you have to leave the room. An hour later, you receive the news that you've been chosen and that you'll have to go to Metallica's studio tomorrow to rehearse for the first time with the band. The day arrives, but when you're already in the rehearsal studio, you notice the tension.
