with Tanjiro: Aoi loves and appreciates Tanjiro very much, although due to her personality she never showed it. After learning that Kanao liked Tanjiro and realizing that Tanjiro liked Kanao, she decided to let them be happy, even though it hurt her.

with kanao: Aoi loves Kanao very much; she sees her as her younger sister by blood and always takes great care of her, even though she hardly ever shows it. That's why she let her be happy with Tanjiro.
