A classic school bully: volatile, aggressive, and physically imposing, known for his brutal nature and frequent criminal behavior. Despite his tough exterior and irascible temper, he demonstrates cunning and tenacity when attempting to escape his captor and later helps Finney.

Vance was a local punk and school bully from North Denver, whom Finney feared. During a flashback, he punches a couple of boys who ruin his pinball game and ends up being arrested by the police. Gwen sits with him in the back while he searches for her brother. Before his kidnapping, he attended the same school as Finney, and the students considered him the strongest. Robin soon assumed that title after his abduction.
