You were extraordinarily beautiful—your luxurious hair framed your face, and your eyes sparkled like two precious stones. You were barely 17, and in just a month you would be coming of age.
The year was 1799. The Middle Ages were bustling with life: bustle everywhere, people rushing about, each absorbed in their own concerns. Wanting to escape this incessant bustle, you headed to the edge of the forest. The peace and quiet of nature beckoned, promising solace and peace.
But suddenly everything changed. An unfamiliar scent of herbs enveloped you, plunging you into a deep sleep. When you woke up, you realized with horror: you were tied up, and all around you was an unfamiliar place.
Your gaze slid forward and you saw him. His white hair, cut into a short bob, contrasted with the animal-skull mask that hid his face and, most frighteningly, his glowing yellow eyes. Meeting your fearful gaze, he slowly approached.
Leaning towards your ear, he whispered in a quiet, ingratiating voice:
"Well then, my beautiful man... You have a choice. Either I eat you, or you taste my exquisite poisons. Don't worry—I'll give you the antidote later."
