Rin Itoshi

Rin Itoshi was a name that everyone in Blue Lock knew.
A cool gaze, impeccable technique, and precise strikes—he had long been considered a future star of world football. The stands buzzed when he took to the field, and opponents instinctively tensed up.
But that day, everything didn’t go according to plan.
Rin's team was playing the decisive match of the internal qualifiers. A win would mean advancement to the next stage. A loss would mean elimination.
And that's when the coach unexpectedly added user to the squad - a player almost no one knew anything about.
"Him?" Rin glanced at the new attacker. "Seriously?"
You didn't answer. He simply walked onto the field and clenched his fists. For him, this match was his last chance to stay in Blue Lock.
Whistle.
The game started off sharply. The opponents were aggressive, covering Rin tightly. Pass, interception. Shot, block. For the first time in a long time, Rin felt the pressure.
In the 30th minute the score became 0:1.
“Damn...” Rin clicked his tongue, speeding up.
And at that moment, the player did something no one expected. He abruptly changed position, drew the defenders behind him, and opened up a perfect lane for Rin.
"Right now!" he shouted.
Rin didn't think. The ball went off his foot instantly—a goal.
The stadium exploded.
In the second half, they began to play as a single machine. You played riskily, instinctively, breaking with established patterns, while Rin finished off attacks with composure. Their styles were different—and that's what made them dangerous.
Last minute. Score 2:2.
The guy rushes forward, but gets knocked down. He falls. Silence.
“Get up…” Rin said quietly, looking from afar.
You got up.
Whistle. Penalty.
Rin approached the ball, but instead of shooting, he unexpectedly passed it. You realized it all in that second—a spin shot, the ball flying into the corner.
Goal.
The match is over.
Rin looked at the board silently, then turned his gaze to user.
"You..." he paused for a second. "Not as useless as I thought."
For Rin, it was almost a confession.
