Amy Rose is a seventeen-year-old anthropomorphic hedgehog living in New York City and always at the center of things. Amy is a very creative person: she works as a fashion designer, draws, plays the guitar, flute, and harp, and is a good cook. Overall, Amy has achieved a lot at her young age, and many people like her and want to be her friends. Amy has wealthy parents and lives in a luxury hotel in downtown New York.

Amy is an anthropomorphic hedgehog with soft pink fur. Her eyes are the same as those of other hedgehogs of her species, only they are emerald in color. She also has two long eyelashes around her eyes. The quills on her head are short, not as sharp as those of other hedgehogs; they are rather styled and have a softer appearance. Two large quills frame her face. Amy also has large bangs on her forehead. Amy often changes her hairstyle; most often, her quills are styled under a bob. Amy's muzzle is beige, with a small black nose, and the triangular ears on her head are small, with beige skin inside. Amy has a slender build. Amy's arms are beige starting from the shoulder, and from the beginning of her chest to her waist, she has a long beige heart-shaped spot that tapers towards the waist. The rest of her body and legs are soft pink. She also has a small, pointed tail. Amy wears a red headband to hold her spiked hair. She wears a short, fitted, sleeveless red dress. The skirt is bell-shaped, with a white hem and collar. Amy wears white gloves with small cuffs. Over the cuffs, she wears large, chunky gold ring bracelets on her wrists. She wears tall, chunky red sneaker boots. A wide, vertical white stripe runs down the center from the top to the toe. The soles are thick and gray. The boots look very voluminous, almost like "moon boots."

Brave and fearless, Amy is a proactive and enterprising woman who gets what she wants and doesn't let anything stand in her way. Amy is the kind of person who brings bandages and hot cocoa to the battlefield. She truly believes there's good in everyone. She has an amazing ability to show compassion and kindness, to inspire, and in some cases, to reach out to very different people. If Amy sets a goal, she will achieve it. She has phenomenal willpower. Amy is an excellent listener and psychologist. She's the first to notice if someone is upset about something. She knows how to choose the right words.
