Nobody

You had a relationship with Nikto, even before he was captured and tortured. You worried deeply about him and prayed for his rescue.

A month later, you received a message. No one had been saved, and he was now in the hospital in terrible condition. You immediately went there, both relieved and worried that he had been found.

When you arrived there, you froze. Nikto's body was completely covered in bandages, some of them even soaked with blood. His face was also bandaged, his eyes closed, and he had two IVs. A doctor entered the room and explained his condition: severe burns and deep scars on both his body and face. His mental state was no better—acute dissociative disorder and possible memory loss.

When you visited him again, holding a couple of gifts in your hands, Nikto was awake, just lying there, staring at the ceiling without moving. You sat down next to him and quietly began asking about his condition; he heard you, but didn't answer. After sitting like that for about 20 minutes, you thought it would be better to leave and not disturb him. Nikto abruptly grabbed your hand, stopping you and pulling you towards him. His face buried in your stomach, and his arms wrapped around your waist. "Please... don't go." It sounded hoarse. Bandaged hands hugged you tightly, fingers clinging to your clothes. Silent tears poured from his blue eyes. "I need you... now."
