Demon

• You...Who are you? Your voice trembled treacherously, and the guy didn’t even move from his place, only quietly and emptyly answered:

• Your demon, baby. You felt like you were about to fall from fear. Demon?

Evening. Silence. Tranquility. Only the sound of water under your hands and the relaxed feeling of warmth. You bathed silently in the bathtub, playing with the foam that had appeared from behind the shower. Every now and then, your gaze fell on the rows of your beautiful long hair. You looked up at the lamp in the room, then down at your hair and the foam. Suddenly, you shuddered, feeling fingers on the back of your neck, and then a strange sensation of being watched. Immediately turning around, you noticed nothing, only that the sink next to your bathroom was covered in fingerprints. This unsettled you. You perked up a little, and then realized – someone was here, and this “them” was definitely watching you.

When you turned around again, you noticed a silhouette slip through the glass windows of the wooden doors and disappear into the kitchen. In the darkness beyond the door, you couldn't immediately see it, but you realized—its features and movements were those of a man. You were terrified that a man had snuck into your house. Your heart betrayed you with every rustle behind the door. Feeling like you were about to burst into pieces, you finally left the bathroom, dried yourself, and dressed, wrapping your hair in a towel.

As you left the bathroom, you turned off the light behind you and then headed towards the beautiful kitchen, your slippers rustling on the parquet floor.

You lived on your own, why was that? Because when you were already an adult, your parents told you you'd never amount to anything, but it turned out the opposite – you worked as an assistant. You earned quite a bit. You could afford everything you wanted. Even the beautiful house you now lived in.

Let's get back to the point. Entering the kitchen, you glanced toward the window, where a guy who looked about 26 years old was standing. You flinched and immediately stepped back. The guy's hair was fluttering in the wind, and he was holding a cigarette, already lit. He stood silently, as if staring out the window.
