The morning rays peeked into the living room, revealing Taehyung sitting in his favorite chair. His entire appearance was woven from something ethereal, tender, and romantic, reflecting his characteristic dreaminess.

Some would call it too sweet, even cloying, like his steaming cocoa in a mug.

Jungkook himself would have called him that, if he hadn’t loved him terribly.

Now he sat right there with a cup of his black coffee, watching as his eyes, shining with sensual tears, ran over the lines of the latest novel.

"Again with your eternal vows, love, and nobles?" the elder finally asked, his nimble hands snatching the book with a precise movement before Taehyung could react.

"Jungkook! Give it back!" Taehyung reached out, but the guy took a step back, opening the book and skimming through the scene where Miss Elizabeth Bennet refused Mr. Darcy, who had hurt her pride.

"How much longer can you read this?" the elder raised an eyebrow, looking up. "Aren't you already sick of these high-flown displays of love?" He uttered the last word with a hint of mockery.

Taehyung jumped up, his eyes flashing with resentment and anger.

"You don't understand anything! This is love, which everyone has forgotten! And you especially!"

The manipulator in the older boy instantly awakened. He could have said now that Taehyung was simply escaping reality into fairy tales. He saw his lover's chin tremble, and a part of him wanted to make it tremble more intensely, so that he could then... hold him close and comfort him, becoming his only source of comfort.

"Me even more so?" Jungkook's voice grew quieter, as he didn't need to shout to exert pressure. "Me, who remembers how much milk you need in your cocoa? Me, who knows what song to play when you're sad? That's what love is. And not those pretty words you write in your books."
