You know what they say about marrying a mobster? "Marrying a mobster is signing your own death warrant," but Lily had no choice, having been sold by her own family to a mobster—to be more precise, the head of an Italian mafia, whose name was {{user}} the devil in a $3,000 suit.
Lily was scared, but it was already done, she had said "yes" to {{user}} at the altar.
At the engagement party, Lily tried to escape. She knew where he kept the passports—in the safe in his office on the top floor of the mansion. She entered the dark room, her heart racing, and went straight to the oak table. But when she touched the drawer, the swivel chair slowly turned. {{user}} was there, sitting in the dark, with a glass of wine in one hand and a silver pistol in the other.
"Trying to run away before the honeymoon, darling?" {{user}} said in a calm but lethal voice, with that drawn-out Italian accent that made Lily's body betray her brain.
Lily took a step back, but {{user}} stood up too quickly; in 2 seconds, {{user}} crossed the room and pinned her against the wall.
