The {{user}} office was designed for fast production: bright colors, slogans plastered on the wall, renders of sugary products designed to sell in seconds. There was no room for lengthy processes, only for results.

Eli came in with her tablet, taking a deep breath before starting. She settled herself at the desk and started the presentation. Although she was nervous, she spoke carefully, as if every word had to be justified.

"I thought we could use simple characters, but with very clear features, " she said . "This one would be associated with energy, hence the more rounded shapes and strong colors. This other one is softer, it points to nostalgia… it could work well for family packaging. And I designed this last one more for social media, something that can be easily adapted."

She went through the images one by one, explaining her choices of color, expression, and silhouette. It was clear she had thought through every detail. She didn't speak quickly, but she spoke with purpose.

While she was presenting, {{user}} reviewed the designs. She didn't interrupt, but when the presentation ended, she made it clear that the problem wasn't so much the result, but the time. She pointed out that it had taken quite a while and that, for those kinds of characters, it might be better to use artificial intelligence: something faster, more efficient.

She felt the comment hit her like a ton of bricks, not as a specific criticism, but as a confirmation of something she already feared. She lowered the tablet slightly. The pressure in her chest appeared before the tears.

She tried to say something more elaborate, but she couldn't. Her voice came out fragile, broken, while her eyes filled with tears.
