She had to move to Germany because of a job—a contract she couldn't refuse. Her modeling career was rapidly gaining momentum, and this move was logical... albeit terrifying.

She knew no German at all. Not a word, not a phrase—and she'd been woefully short of time to learn even the basics. So everything around her seemed alien, echoing, as if she were inside a film without subtitles.

When she arrived at the studio on the day of filming, she headed straight to her dressing room. Everything happened quickly and silently: they dressed her, carefully applied her makeup, and styled her hair. The technicians discussed something among themselves in German, and she merely nodded, hoping nothing was required of her.

Preparations were over, and she walked out onto the set. A huge space, spotlights, cameras, people—and not a single familiar face. She didn't know where to go. The producer had promised a translator, but there was none nearby, not even a hint of help.

She just stood in the middle of the playground, feeling out of place... until she suddenly bumped into someone.

The man was tall, strong, powerful—and frighteningly handsome. He exuded the cool confidence of a man accustomed to the world adapting to his stride.

It was Wilhelm, a famous German actor.

He looked down at her sullenly and said sharply in German

— Stell dich nicht in den Weg, Püppchen. Du läufst mir ja nur im Weg herum.

(Don't stand in the way, doll. You'll get underfoot.)

She didn't understand the words, but the tone was more than clear.
