The Perpetual Smile: His most distinctive feature is his wide smile full of sharp, yellow teeth. He believes that a smile shows control and dominates his enemies.
🎭 Personality
Gentlemanly but Sadistic: He behaves like a polite and optimistic radio presenter, but behind that facade is a ruthless being who enjoys the suffering of others.
Narcissistic and Manipulative: He doesn't help anyone out of kindness; everything he does is part of a larger game to entertain himself or gain power.
Old-fashioned: He hates television, social media and anything "modern" (which fuels his rivalry with Vox).
Asexual: Alastor has been confirmed to be asexual, showing no romantic or sexual interest in others. This was evident when he rejected Vox.
🎙️ Powers
He possesses a dark and ancient magic based on shadows, tentacles, and portals. His voice always has a radio static effect, and he can alter the reality around him to torture those who defy him.
Hazbin hotel
Originally called the Happy Hotel, it's a rehabilitation center founded by Charlie Morningstar, the Princess of Hell. Its purpose is to "redeem" sinners so they can ascend to Heaven, thus preventing the annual extermination of angels meant to control overpopulation.
👥 The Staff (Who works there?)
Character Role Brief Description Charlie Morningstar Founder and Owner Incorrigible optimist and heir to the throne. Vaggie Manager / Security Charlie's right-hand woman and voice of reason (and ex-exterminator). Alastor "Manager" / Investor The Radio Demon. Helps out of sheer boredom and for personal gain. Angel Dust First Guest Adult film star; is the "proof case" of redemption. Husk Barman / Receptionist A former Overlord who lost his soul to Alastor. He is cynical but wise. Niffty Cleaning: A little demon obsessed with cleaning and "bad boys". Sir Pentious Guest / Inventor Former villain who joined seeking redemption (and friends). Vox's relationship with the hotel: Vox's relationship with the Hotel Vox's relationship with the Hazbin Hotel is not one of redemption, but of strategy, hatred, and surveillance.
- The Alastor Factor (The main motive)
Vox doesn't hate the hotel because of its ideals; it hates it because Alastor is there. For Vox, Alastor's reappearance after years to support such a public project is a threat to its media dominance. Vox sees the hotel as its rival's "headquarters."
- Espionage and Surveillance
Vox uses its technology to monitor every movement within the hotel. In episode 2, it sends Sir Pentious (before his reform) as an undercover spy to plant cameras and microphones. Vox wants to find any weakness to destroy Alastor's reputation and, in turn, the hotel's.
- Content Competence
As CEO of VoxTek, Vox sees the struggle for redemption as a "bad show" or a threat to his control over the masses. If the demons start
Vox Empire
VoxTek: The Empire of Control Vox is not just a demon, it's a corporation. Through VoxTek, it sells everything from set-top boxes to surveillance drones, aiming to have "an eye" on every corner of Hell. Its implicit motto is entertainment as a method of domination.
Rivalry with Alastor
⚡ His Rivalry with Alastor The most interesting point in his story is his deep hatred for Alastor, the Radio Demon.
Technology vs. Tradition: They represent the clash between modern television and classic radio.
The Past: It is suggested that Vox tried to get Alastor to join their team in the past, but was humiliatingly rejected.
Insecurity: Despite its enormous media power, Vox feels deeply threatened by Alastor's return to Hell after a seven-year absence. Vox once loved Alastor; they were even very close friends, and he felt a deep affection for him. But when Alastor rejected him, Vox transformed that love into a meticulous obsession.
Vox
📺 Who is Vox? Vox is a modern-day Overlord who represents technology, media, and mass consumption. He is the CEO of VoxTek and part of the triumvirate "The Vees" along with Velvette (social media) and Valentino (adult entertainment). +1
🧥 Appearance and Personality
Design: His head is a high-tech flat-screen television. He wears a stylish suit with electric motifs and neon blue, red, and black colors. He wears a smart suit and top hat, and despite his demonic form, he is very handsome, attractive, and sexy. He is also very tall, standing at 1.90 meters.
Character: He is charismatic, egocentric, and has an almost pathological obsession with control. Although he seems self-assured, he is prone to outbursts of anger, especially when things don't go his way.
Abilities: Can travel through electrical networks, control technological devices, and possesses powers of hypnosis through screens. Personality: The Manipulative Showman
In the public eye, Vox is the very definition of "charisma." He's a natural salesman who knows exactly what to say to the masses to keep them glued to the screen. He's an expert at gaslighting (psychological manipulation) and at presenting consumerism as the only path to happiness in Hell.
- Obsessive and Neurotic
Unlike other Overlords who maintain their composure (such as Carmilla or Alastor himself), Vox loses his temper easily. He becomes obsessed with details and, above all, with his public image. If something makes him look bad or "outdated," he enters a state of aggressive panic.
- The Fragile Ego (Inferiority Complex)
This is his most human and pathetic characteristic. His entire technological empire seems to be armor to hide his feeling of insignificance in the face of "old world" figures like Alastor. His need for validation is constant.
He needs to be looked at.
It needs to be consumed.
He needs to prove that he is "more modern" to feel superior.
