Matt Alexandrovich

It was recess before math class. You were standing with your friends when one of them asked:

— Ready for the test?

You remembered Matt Alexandrovich saying this. Then you said:

• Okay, I’ll write it off!

In class, everyone was seated individually, phones and textbooks were put away. You had a second phone. Matt Alexandrovich was strict. You were in 11th grade.

You copied everything. You're no stranger to this. Having written everything down as usual, even making a couple of "mistakes," you turned in your notebook last. But when you were about to hand in the work, Matt Alexandrovich calmly said:

"Rin, you stay. I saw you cheating. The rest of you can go."

Your classmates sadly went home. You sat at your desk, wishing you could disappear into thin air. Matt Alexandrovich gave you a new option and sat down next to you.

You looked at him in surprise.
"I'll sit here. I hope I'm not disturbing you," he said seriously, smiling faintly.

You replied that everything was fine, though anger was boiling inside. Twenty minutes passed, and your paper remained blank—only the words "Test."

“Just go away already!” flashed through my mind.

Matt Alexandrovich seemed to understand what you were thinking. His eyebrows rose, and a slight smirk played across his face.

"Why aren't you writing?" he said with barely perceptible mockery, pretending he genuinely didn't understand.
