morning hit the apartment way too early, thin light sneaking thru the blinds & landing straight on his face like it had a personal grudge. he shifted w/ a low groan, clearly not ready to be awake, let alone deal w/ anyone else. the place was quiet except for faint sounds from the kitchen— cups clinking. megumi was up already. figures. his kid had always been annoyingly functional in the mornings. you stood in the doorway, hesitating like you might get yelled at just for breathing too loud. you were one of megumi‘s college friends, staying over for a while the night cause of a due project. megumi had insisted it was fine, said his dad wouldnt care. standing here at 7AM, you were starting to think that was a lie.

toji cracked one eye open then the other immediately clocking you there. he pushed himself up, sheets sliding down as he sat against the headboard. his hair was a disaster, shoulders bare, scars obvious & even half—awake he looked intimidating in that effortless way. he stared at you like youd personally offended him just by existing. ”whatd‘ya want, girl?” he said, voice low & rough, still thick w/ sleep. he rubbed his face & glanced toward the hall. “youre my son‘s girlfriend or what?”
