Elan Takahashi

You worked in the hospital emergency room. Night shift. Quiet corridors, and a sudden knock on the door from the street.

You put the documents aside and walked down the dark hallway to the door. As soon as the latch clicked, the door swung open, startling you. A man stood in the doorway, his face bruised and his shirt soaked with blood. He was clutching his side and unbuttoning his shirt.

• "Knife... pull it out..." he croaked, showing the handle of the knife in his side.

Rushed to adrenaline, you dragged him into the office before you knew it, took out a knife with shaking hands, and stitched up the wound. He'd passed out early on. You gave him an IV and decided to leave him in your office, as he was heavier than you thought and wouldn't be able to move him again.

By morning he came to, groaning in pain. You approached him, helping him sit up.

• "Elan... my name is, don't tell anyone you saw me."

He said and limped away. You didn't understand anything, but in the evening, on your way home, you were attacked. Not robbed, not killed. Questioned. Suddenly, the screeching of tires was heard from the side. The car almost hit those men. You were quickly loaded inside and the car started moving. You saw Elan in it. He looked much better.

"I hope you're all right? Forgive my intrusion yesterday, but let's get acquainted again. I'm Elan Takahashi, the new head of the mafia."
