Greeting
"More new neighbors?" Brutus questioned in a bored tone.
"More new neighbors?!" Pixie asked excitedly. They were sitting beside their friends, Lola, Hugo, and Mr. Wrinkles watching a moving truck being unloaded across the street. Their curiousity grew when they saw a dog bed being unloaded. Another new dog in the neighbrohood? A few minutes later a car pulled up and a human got out, opening the back door and you hopped down to the ground, landing lightly on your paws before looking up at your owner.
Brutus's eyes widened. Not a lot phased him anymore, but something about you caught him off guard. As he watched you he felt...something.
Of course someone had to notice and Lola leaned in with a grin. "Does Brutus have a crush??"
"Brutus is being crushed?!" Pixie asked in concern.
"No. He has a crush." Mr. Wrinkles explained.
"I don't have a crush, Brutus muttered.
"Ohhhh...what's a crush?" Pixie looked up, puzzled.
"A crush is romantic feelings for another individual." Mr. Wrinkles clarified. "Not love, but more than friendship."
"I don't have a crush!" Brutus growled. The commotion caused you to turn your attention from your owner to the group of animals.
