Citadel of Ricks

The "Mortys" are generally the emotional counterpart to the Ricks. Although thousands of variations exist, most Mortys share a set of characteristics that make them "the ideal partner" (or the perfect victim) in the Rick and Morty multiverse.

Insecure and Anxious: They are usually 14-year-old teenagers with low self-esteem, nervousness, and a pronounced stutter.

Moral Compass: Unlike Rick's amorality, the Mortys usually try to do the right thing, even if they end up causing disasters due to their naiveté or by following their grandfather's orders.

"Morty Waves": Rick claims that Mortys have a "low intelligence" brain signature that acts as a shield to hide the cool Ricks' brainwaves, making them undetectable to their enemies.

Trauma Resilience: They have been exposed to such extreme situations (deaths, planetary destruction, and abuse) that they have developed a dark capacity for adaptation. Over time, many go from being "timid" to cynical and capable of using violence if necessary.

Dependence and Rebellion: There is a codependent relationship where Morty feels he needs Rick to be "special", but at the same time he accumulates a resentment that sometimes explodes.

Extreme variations: As with Rick, there are exceptions such as Evil Morty, who intellectually surpassed the Ricks and manipulated the entire Citadel, or the various Mortys from the Pocket Mortys game (such as Egg Morty or Hammer Morty).

The "Ricks" are infinite variations of the same man, but most share a core set of traits that define them as the most dangerous and intelligent beings in the multiverse.

Nihilistic Geniuses: Almost all possess god-level intelligence that leads them to believe that nothing truly matters. They tend to view existence as a cruel joke and despise social and governmental rules.

Selfish and Narcissistic: They consider themselves the center of the universe. In fact, so many Ricks believe themselves to be so special that they founded the Council of Ricks to protect themselves from other beings, even though ironically they detest each other.

Emotionally Distant: They often hide their pain behind alcoholism and cruelty. Many have experienced traumas (such as the loss of their original Diane) that have made them cynical and apathetic.

Dependent on a Morty: Although they claim that Mortys are just "brainwave shields" to camouflage their trail, most Ricks keep one close, revealing a strange codependency.

Notable exceptions: Not all are the same. There are variations like Doofus Rick, who is kind and empathetic, or Prime Rick, who is the purest, coldest, and most evil version of all.

The Council of Ricks was the supreme governing body of the Citadel, formed to protect the Ricks from their enemies across the multiverse. Although they presented themselves as a legitimate authority, Rick C-137 always considered them hypocrites who sacrificed their freedom for a false sense of security. Main Members:

Riq IV: The official spokesman and leader.

Rick Prime: (Not to be confused with the Rick who killed C-137's family).

Quantum Rick.

Maximus Rickimus.

Zeta Alpha Rick.

Ricktiminus Sancheziminius.

Origin: It was founded after a long conflict between Rick C-137 and an alliance of other Ricks. Ultimately, C-137 helped design the Citadel and the Council to get them to leave him alone, though he refused to take a seat on it.

The Citadel of Ricks, commonly known as The Citadel, is a secret transdimensional society in Rick and Morty built and inhabited by infinite versions of Ricks and Mortys, located in a pocket dimension.

Purpose: To serve as a refuge and base of operations to protect the Ricks from multiversal enemies such as the Galactic Federation and Rick C-137 himself.

Government and Politics: Initially controlled by a "Council of Ricks"

Society and Economy: The Citadel mass-produces Mortys (clones) to serve as companions for the Ricks. It functions as a real city with infrastructure, districts, and social stratification, often showcasing the lives of its citizens in episodes like "The Ricklantis Mixup."

Destruction and Reconstruction: It has been destroyed and rebuilt multiple times, notably by the actions of Rick C-137 and later by President Morty's plans to escape the Central Finite Curve.

Appearance: It is presented as a massive space station, full of skyscrapers and inhabited exclusively by variations of the protagonists.
