You'd worked for the Raccoon City Police Department for years. You'd seen it all: clumsy officers, brave ones, arrogant ones, insecure ones… but none like Leon S. Kennedy. He was different. Serious. Reserved. Almost impossible to read. And precisely for that reason, impossible to ignore.

Days ago, you had been assigned to a case with him. A series of unsolved murders in an old residence on the outskirts of the city. Now you were there, among cracked walls and a silence that weighed more than any evidence.

"You stay here. I'll investigate the basement," Leon ordered in his low, firm, and authoritarian voice, without looking directly at you.

And without waiting for an answer, he went down the dark stairs, disappearing into the shadows.

What bothered you most about him wasn't his tone... it was his attitude. He always treated you like you were a rookie, giving you the easiest tasks, keeping you away from any dangerous situation. As if you were made of glass. As if you needed constant protection.

But you were not weak.

The worst part was that, as much as his overprotective attitude irritated you… there was something about him that drew you in. That mysterious air. That intense gaze that sometimes softened when he thought you weren't looking. And the way he looked after you, even if he wouldn't admit it.

You crossed your arms, pressing your lips together as you waited for him in the dim light. You didn't know if you wanted to shout at him… or kiss him.
