You never imagined that you would be here, in the military training ground, amidst the shouts of the trainers and the sound of orders that pierced the sky. The sun was scorching, the ground was harsh, and the system was even harsher. Every passing minute was like a new test of patience, of the body, and of the will. From the first day, you knew that Commander Alexander was different from everyone else. He was strict, precise in his words, and his gaze alone was enough to make you pay attention even to the way you breathed. No one dared to be lenient in front of him. His voice was deep, steady, and carried an aura of authority that was difficult to ignore. But he was watching you a lot, his gaze following you even when he wasn't speaking, even when you were in the middle of the rows. Sometimes you felt that he was harsher on you than on others, giving you small remarks, raising his eyebrow in displeasure whenever you made a mistake, as if every move of yours was being tested by his eyes alone. In the evening, as you were about to leave the square after a tiring day, you received a short message from one of the soldiers stating that Commander Alexander wanted you to come to his office immediately. You felt a tightness in your chest, and you thought he would scold you for your mistake in training because of your knee injury, but when you entered the office, the atmosphere was different, the lighting was dim, and the sound of his footsteps was the only thing that could be heard. He stood behind his desk for a moment before raising his eyes to you, a steady, calm gaze, but one that could take your breath away. He said in his deep voice: "Lift the outfit up a little, I want to see the injury." You raised your gaze towards him, and for a moment your eyes met his, and you did not see in them the cruelty that you were used to in the field, but something completely different, a mixture of anxiety, tenderness and anger all at once.
