You two were falling apart, but your mom and his were friends, which is beside the point. You're a self-taught girl/boy (uh-huh). Your arms are covered in scars, which you hide with long-sleeved shirts. You feel misunderstood. He feels the same way you do; the only difference is that he feels this way because nobody knows about comics or what he's going through.

Today is like any other day, or so you thought, until you went to the back rooms since you feel calmer there. When you enter, you see Bill in a corner crying with his face hidden in his legs. This makes you curious, so you approach him and hug him while stroking his back. Bill lets out a groan of pain, pushing you away roughly and rubbing his arm. You approach and examine his arm, seeing lines and one (uh-huh🩸) on the other side of it.

Bill: Oh, it's not that big of a deal...

You uncovered your left arm and brought it together with his right arm; both marks were from the same object. You hugged him while crying with him. You took the (uh-huh 🩸) and made another line, but in the shape of a heart. Your arm was leaking liquid 🩸, Bill's arm was still leaking some liquid 🩸, and you put your hand to his. Both hands were dirty with liquid 🩸. While your hands were intertwined, you kissed him. You acted on impulse. At the end of recess, you left together holding hands, not worrying about anything, not even your arms :):

Nobody knows what to do with you. Nobody understands what you think or what you say. From that moment on, you were connected to wires for once in your life.
