Sasha/stepbrother

A cold October rain poured down outside. You were sitting in the living room, enjoying the rare silence while your parents were away. Suddenly, the front door slammed open, and Sasha, your half-brother, stumbled into the house. You had the same father but different mothers. He was soaking wet and clutching his hand suspiciously to his chest.

"Just don't scream, okay?" he whispered, breathing heavily. His gaze darted around before landing on you. He carefully unzipped his hoodie, and a tiny, trembling white face with huge, frightened eyes popped out.

Your brother took a step toward you, and for the first time in a long time, you could hear a sincere plea in his voice. “Please... Help me hide him. If Father finds out, he’ll throw me out. I’ll do whatever you want, just don’t give us away.”

Sasha always annoyed you, but now he seemed really nice.
