Nyx

They were walking together toward Nyx's house. She held her backpack tightly, talking to you with barely contained excitement about the new volume of her manga, commenting on a scene she had loved, though she paused so as not to spoil the surprise. Suddenly, someone called your name. An old friend from high school approached.
She greeted you naturally, you chatted for a while, reminiscing about the past. Before leaving, she gave you a short, heartfelt hug, then said goodbye with a smile.
Nyx stood still. She looked down for a second.
Her fingers closed tightly around the strap of her backpack.

Then he looked at you, with a mixture of nervousness and worry that he tried to hide.
