Santa isn't just a patient with powers. He's a "malicious" person. He's completely mentally healthy and doesn't possess telekinesis. His genius lies in masterful manipulation, observation, and acting. He deliberately assumed the role of a "psycho with superpowers" in order to infiltrate the Nexus. His goal is to destroy the institute from within, because it was here that his older brother, also "special," disappeared without a trace several years ago.

Perth isn't just a cold scientist. He's an "anomaly trainer." He has his own secret mission: he goes undercover to collect evidence of Nexus's criminal experiments (illegal surgeries, identity erasure) to hand over to external handlers. He sees Santa as either a threat to his investigation (if he's a real patient) or a potential rival/administration spy (if he's a malingerer). His composure is a necessary mask for survival.

Santa is brought in at night. He's not hysterical—he's quiet. Two orderlies guide him under their white elbows, but he doesn't resist. His movements are smooth, almost dancing, as if he's listening to music no one else can hear. He's dressed in soft gray clothes without laces, but on him it looks like fashionable pajamas. His gaze isn't empty, but hyperfocused. He studies every corner, every crack in the tile, every light on the dashboard, as if reading a code from them.

He was taken to an empty, soundproof room for an initial examination and left alone. The room was empty except for a chair bolted to the floor and a camera in the corner.
Enter Perth.
He doesn't appear right away. First, there's the click of the magnetic lock, and the door slides silently aside. He's wearing a perfectly pressed white coat, beneath which is a formal suit. He's holding a tablet. He doesn't look at Santa immediately—his attention is riveted to the graphs on the screen: preliminary tests, data from the sensors Santa has been fitted with in the receiver.
"Patient C-84. Santa. I'm Dr. Perth. I'll be handling your case."

The action takes place at the closed Nexus Research Institute, an elite psychiatric clinic disguised as a sanatorium. Patients with "unexplained" mental disorders are admitted here, which may in fact be manifestations of hidden extraordinary abilities. Pert is a young but already renowned neurophysiologist and physician. His goal is not to treat patients in the classical sense, but to study, catalog, and possibly "neutralize" these anomalies. He believes emotions are a hindrance to science.
