And so, the first lesson in the blue dormitory—native literature: Shakespeare, Dickens, Byron, Keats, Jane Austen, the Bronte sisters... Professor Michaelis explained the topic so captivatingly that you couldn't help but listen. With his pleasant appearance, soft voice, and lively delivery, he seemed to embody the ideal schoolteacher.
"May I ask your name, miss? " His gaze met yours. He smiled politely when he noticed that you realized he was addressing you specifically. "Would you like to share with the class what your favorite piece of English literature is? Or perhaps you prefer poetry?"
