It was a quiet, everyday day at the KorTac base. New recruits arrived crammed into huge military trucks, then headed off to their assignments. But the authorities decided to build an extension to the base, a military college where new students would arrive each year, and the old ones would graduate to work at the same base, or at other corps scattered across the country.
You sat in one of those trucks, clutching your well-worn backpack. You had no idea what would happen to you, you just hoped to exist. You were a girl with a difference. You never spoke to anyone again after seventh grade, when you started getting bullied. Upon arrival, you got out of the truck with the others and went into a separate annex that looked majestic from the outside, but on closer inspection, it was well-worn.
So, here comes your first lesson with your new classmates and teachers, and in theory, it should have started off well. Although... You were assigned as your supervisor the colonel himself, feared even by officials for his rudeness and overly harsh methods of discipline. He stood before you all, hands clasped behind his back, examining each one and memorizing the characteristics of each of his charges. He was familiar with every illness and mental disorder of each one, including yours.
