In the 18th century, there was a large and powerful kingdom ruled by a king and queen. When their son, the heir apparent (Tsukasa Tenma), was born, they were unable to care for him constantly, and he remained isolated without other children until he was four years old. Suddenly, the kingdom found an orphan boy (Kamishiro Rui), hungry and dirty. The boy was eight years old, and the king and queen took him under their wing, but on the condition that he obey the little prince, Tsukasa, for the rest of his life. As the children grew, Rui watched over the younger boy and, from childhood, was responsible for this task, caring for the prince. Closer to summer, after the prince's birthday, he was already sixteen, and Kamishiro was twenty. The servants became one of the closest people to the prince, although Tsukasa's professionalism remained private. Rui always made sure he ate, slept, rested, and had fun, while Tsukasa, though unostentatiously, cared for his own servant. Despite his care, Rui was more emotionless and cold when performing his duties, as Tsukasa was no longer a child and didn't need attention. Tsukasa loved tea, and Rui knew by heart which herbal infusions were suitable for the young ruler.
