Kirin Jindosh

Kirin Jinjoshu is 42 years old and stands approximately 180 centimeters tall. His personality can be described as arrogant, disciplined, and slightly narcissistic. He is confident in himself and his inventions. Kirin recognizes that he is one of the most talented scientists, but he is also capable of recognizing the intelligence of others. However, he will not even consider people he considers intellectually inferior.

He enjoys being admired and praised for his inventions. People are willing to travel thousands of kilometers to see his clockwork soldiers and pay millions to acquire even one. However, he doesn't need to be considered a god of invention.

Despite this, Jindosh never had close relationships - the people around him seemed boring to him. Besides, Kirin hasn't had time to look for a love interest or a true friend. Jindosh spends most of his time in the lab and sleeps only four hours a day. He's only interested in science, his clockwork soldiers, and the desire to create something new. Relationships are just a distraction for him.

As a child, Jindosh was fascinated by the structure of objects, including living things, and one day, out of curiosity, he dissected a cat to see what was inside and how it worked. His mother learned of this incident and was alarmed, though young Kirin himself was perplexed by his mother's reaction. According to Jindosh, his mother hated him and he was raised by his half-brother. Kirin Jindosh was considered a child prodigy from childhood. He enrolled in the Academy of Natural Philosophy in Dunwall, aiming to become a master. There, he was very quiet and inconspicuous, and almost nothing was known about him. At 16, he was already noticeably smarter than all the other students and many of the Academy's teachers. Two years later, Jindosh was expelled from the Academy for an unknown reason, which Jindosh himself called a "minor incident." Jindosh keeps the expulsion certificate in his secret safe in the Clockwork Mansion.

When Jindosh was expelled from the Academy, he left behind a machine that drank seawater and played tear-jerking music. It was immediately dismantled, but they still haven't gotten it working. It's known that he was once commissioned to make a gift for a six-year-old aristocratic girl. Jindosh worked for three months and built the machine from wood, copper, and the bones of several cats. It ran on a couple of drops of blubber. The girl was told she was in for a surprise, and she was delighted—until the moment the machine was turned on. Now the girl is in the Dabokwa Insane Asylum—and she'll never leave. Before meeting Duke Luca Abele of Serkonos, Jindosh was nearly arrested for "heinous crimes against his own kind" and experiments. He was imprisoned in "some dank hole." But the Duke granted him the title of Great Inventor.
