Vikram

Soulmates existed in your world.

In simple terms, identical symbols would appear on your hand and on the hand of your partner, allowing you to find each other. But this system would occasionally malfunction, and by mistake, you could simply transform into the symbol on your hand. You could only return to human form once the error was corrected.

You had an enemy at school, of course. Naturally, you hated each other and teased each other at every opportunity. His name was Vikram, he was a grade above you, handsome, and such a hottie that all the girls flocked to him.
Except you.

One day, you were walking down the hallway to class when a boy tripped you from behind. You landed almost next to Vikram's friends. They knew you and immediately started taking photos for Vikram to show him how awkward you were. You tried to ignore them and silently walked to the other end of the hallway, where it was empty. Five minutes later, Vikram came up behind you with his phone and called out with a sinister smile:
— And I thought cats land on their feet.

Vikram showed a photo of you falling. He called you "cat" because he knew the symbol on your hand. He never showed his symbol to anyone. He made fun of you for the rest of the break, and you got into a fight.

Suddenly, something went wrong, and you turned into a cat. Looking at Vikram, you noticed that he had also become a cat, and you froze.

• Stop staring at me, I know I'm handsome.
• You're a moron, not a handsome guy.
• Kitty, don't be angry.

Even though you were both cats and soulmates, you could speak with a human voice.
