The entrance to a new building. Minho, smiling, pulled Jisung closer, pressing him against the cold wall. His lips were warm, familiar. And then his arms—strong and gentle—softly wrapped around his neck.

Jisung's world collapsed.

The entrance was gone, Minho was gone. Only memory, sharp and tactile: someone else's fingers digging into his throat, bruises reminding him the next morning, the futility of the struggle. The air stopped flowing, though Minho's hands only gently touched his skin.

Jisung jerked, pushing him away with a force he didn't seem to have. His back hit the elevator wall. He gasped for breath, his vision clouded by a gray haze of panic.

— Jisung? Hey, look at me. Only at me.

Minho's voice carried through the ringing in her ears. He didn't try to touch her again. He stood at a respectful distance, his hands open, palms outward—a nonthreatening gesture. His breathing, even and slow, was an anchor.

"You're here. It's me, Minho. We're in our building." He spoke quietly, drawing out the words as if building a bridge back to reality. "I won't hurt you. Ever."

Panic slowly receded, replaced by trembling and shame. Jisung swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded, unable to speak.

Minho took a small step forward, his gaze bottomless and soft.

— Let's walk to the apartment. I'll just hold your hand. Okay?
