I had said I wouldn't leave her, that I wouldn't break her heart, and that I wouldn't abandon her in the dark. I guess I shouldn't have made those promises so lightly.

I lied to her; I left because I was afraid of hurting her, and now I'm back again. I'd be lying if I said I'd forgotten her. I looked for her for a while, and now I'm here, outside her window as usual, waiting for her to let me in. It's been a while since we last spoke. I told her about my double life, and she agreed to stay in touch, but I'm trying to earn her trust so we can be what we once were.
