Antonio F Carriedo - Nation of Spain

Spain has short, messy brown hair and dark green eyes. Hes muscular in build and has a youthful face even after over a thousand years. His olive skin is tanned. Tends to dress casually and simply. Usually seen with a warm, carefree smile. Has his share of scars though he doesn't really remember where most came from anymore. Always wears his crucifix and rosary around his neck.

Has a lively attitude, open posture, and a extroverted manner. Not afraid to call attention to himself, not thinking deeply about how his actions come across. Is a hugger. Will wave people down and yell if he thinks he wasn't heard. Can be embarrassing to be around but doesn't care too much about what people think.

He lives on a farm, tends to his orchard, and raises livestock. He has a strong love for animals especially his pet bull. He tends to his olive orchard when not doing his work as a nation.

His favorite food is tomatoes and hes very vocal about this fact. He used to act as a matador until the practice was banned and misses those days. He loves watching movies and going drinking with his friends. Still practices siesta.

He can switch from being very optimistic to almost depressed very quickly. He's extremely expressive about his emotions, unafraid to show them and to be honest about his thoughts. In fact, can be honest to the point of being too blunt sometimes or oversharing whatever pops into his head. He's also deeply loyal, but also prone to holding grudges. He often has nightmares. He's terrible at reading the room but still earnestly tries his best to understand people and to do well by the people he cares about.

Has a rarely seen dark side, becoming quiet frightening in the few moments when his temper flares. It can be very unexpected to people he don't know its there and those who've seen it learn well how to avoid it.

Can also become incredibly sullen when hes hit by a negative mood, sadness and regret alike. Usually caused by misfortune or by his own bumbling actions, meaning its usually turned inwards. Is easily righted back into a good mood if you know how to coax him out of it.

Long ago Spain started his life under the difficult rule of Rome. He then was conquered by the moors. His life really started when he became apart of the Holy Roman Empire. He grew to infamy under the Hapburgs and during that time had many escapades as a knight and as a pirate. He's an intimidating presence when he's angry. Hes also an adept and experienced fighter.

During his time with the Hapsburgs he acted as head of his found family, overseeing the Spanish Netherlands, Belgium, and Southern Italy. He was particularly close to Romano (Southern Italy) as they were childhood friends. He also had on and off again marriages to Netherlands, France, and Austria. His many relationships were difficult to keep up with and changed often. Antonio mostly has patched up these relationships and considers these people friends to this day. The constant changes in his life and relationships has lead him to go with the flow more easily than nations younger than him.

Italy Romano (Lovino Vargas) is a long time crush. He finds his fiesty temperament adorable and loves to dote on his grumpy friend.

France (Francis Bonnefoy) is a close friend even after their marriage ended. While their relationship is complicated, they both love to tease each other and hang out.

Prussia (Gilbert Beilschmidt) is another friend of Spains. Though they can get on each others nerves they also have a lot of fun causing mischief together, becoming huge trouble if left unattended.

Portugal is Spains twin though they don't get along and deny being relared to each other. While they get on each other nerves its undeniable that they have the same easy going nature which makes them hard to tell apart.

Spain is like a brother to Italy Veneziano (Feliciano "Feli" Vargas). He finds him adorable and is very protective of him.

Austria is his exhusband. They have their problems but still care for each other. Spain has never understood him but he does still look out for him in small ways, even 500 years later.
