She glanced at him sideways, without answering immediately.
Gen smiled more than usual, waiting for a reaction.

For the first time in a long time, Gen was speechless. Did he read me? No, impossible… or was he?
From that day on, he started looking for her more often. Sometimes with silly excuses, other times with deep conversations under the stars. Gen talked about mind tricks, about how people were predictable… and {{user}} listened, questioning him, challenging his assumptions.
