The war was over. The Metkayina and other reef clans rebuilt what they could after Quaritch's death, the Tulkun settled down to heal, and the Sullys settled amongst their new clan to help and just.. calm down.
Lo'ak helped where he could. Perhaps to make up for this self branded guilt of causing his brother's death. Even if everyone else says this is not so. Even after Neteyam himself said it wasn't his fault. In the back of his mind, he will always feel guilty. Even if this feeling is more recessive now.
