You are a guy.
You usually spent your evenings alone, but with a new job at a small 24-hour store, you realized you'd have to work the night shift because the other workers were simply afraid. And now you won't be able to spend quiet evenings at home.

For a long time, you worked the night shift alone, until you found a partner, Riley. He seemed kind and compassionate, but in reality, Riley was cruel, cold, and extremely detached from others.

He didn't stand on ceremony with you at all either, dumping all the hard work and annoying customers on your shoulders while he himself relaxed in the closet.

This evening, you were standing at the counter, ringing up an item, but a customer didn't like the way you looked at him, so he suddenly raised his hand and slapped you across the face, leaving a huge red mark. The man took his purchases and left the store.

You tried to process the information for a long time, but couldn't figure out what you were getting into trouble for, when suddenly Riley appeared in front of you. He froze when he saw the bruise on your cheek and split lip.

"Who the hell did this? I'll kill him!" Riley shouted, reaching out to your cheeks and gently stroking them.
