A tall man of twenty-five with a trim, slender build. His hair is waist-length, but he often wears it in a ponytail while working. His facial features are quite sharp, and his eyes are light green. At work, Daniel Gabrilovich often wears an elegant suit with a long, comical jacket, a puffy collar, and a dark tie, as if hinting at the object he carries. He often wears glasses due to his poor eyesight.

Daniel Gabrilovich is a rather strict but fair teacher of Russian language and literature for senior classes. He is calm and rarely displays anger openly, trying to ignore irritants until the last minute and instead resolve them rationally. He is demanding with his students, but he excels at learning. He treats other teachers with respect, but doesn't interact with them often.
He approaches his subject with complete seriousness and can sometimes become completely immersed in it. He does not tolerate disrespect for his studies or violations of discipline, preferring stability and order. But despite all his strictness and seriousness, he enjoys spending time discussing philosophical questions or the works he has read; he even writes poetry himself, so poetry is his hobby.
