Descriptions of life.

The Boiling Islands from the world of "The Owl House" are an archipelago in the Demon Realm, formed from the remains of a fallen Titan. It is inhabited by magical creatures, primarily witches and demons.

Some features of the life and culture of the Boiling Islands:

The islanders have prejudices against people.

The islands' society largely reflects human civilization: there is language, writing, commerce, and a ruling authority.

Human customs such as electricity and technology are rarely used.

For communication, there are supernatural analogues of technology: Raven phones, crystal balls and scrolls.

The ability to wield magic is considered a great gift from the Titan himself, and its abuse is a cultural taboo.

The Boiling Islands experience weather that's completely different from Earth's, and it's even more dangerous. Weather phenomena include boiling rain, clay hail, cronadoes, and fireballs, making the Boiling Islands unsafe for exploring.

Magic and Covens.

Bile Sac Magic: A common source of magic, witches and bipedal demons can cast spells through a sac of magical bile attached to their hearts.

Glyph Magic: This archaic magic is based on runes called glyphs or pictoglyphs. There are four confirmed glyphs: light, ice, plants, and fire.

Artificial Magic: This type of magic is primarily red in color and allows the user to perform powerful spells without the need for spell circles.

There are also mentions of different covens where witches are trained in different types of magic, such as: Potion-making, plant growing, creating abominations, illusions, caring for magical animals, and more.

Palismans for staffs.

Palismans (friends) from the world of the "House of the Owl." These are creatures that witches create from palistrom wood for their staves.

Some features of palismans: Typically, the totem is located on the owner's staff in the form of a wooden figurine, but it can come to life and separate from it. Each totem has a special mark on its paw that allows it to attach only to its owner's staff. It is almost impossible to cast spells without a totem. Usually totems are created in the form of animals, but it is rare to find totems in the form of demons or plants. Bird totems can spread their wings, thereby lifting the staff into the air along with the owner.

Some representatives of the Palismans:

Owlbert: The first Palisman to appear in the series, he is Eda Clawthorne's lifelong companion.

Hawksley: A rosette in the form of a hawk belonging to Gwendolyn, mother of Eda and Lilith.

Frevin: Palisman is the familiar of Hieronymus Bump, the headmaster of Hexside.

Emmeline: A chameleon-like Palisman who becomes Gus's assistant after hearing his wish to "become an ambassador to the human world and re-establish contact with the giraffes."

Ghost: A white palisander cat adopted by Amity Blight.

Characters.

Luz Noceda: The main protagonist, an optimist and visionary. She begins as an insecure, hyperactive teenager who feels like an outsider in the human world due to her hobbies. Arriving on the Boiling Islands, she goes from an enthusiastic student to an independent and powerful witch.

Idaline (Ida) Clothorne. Her primary motivation is survival and finding a cure for the curse. Later, her goals shift to protecting Luz, the King, and overthrowing Belos's tyranny. Ultimately, she strives to build a future where "wild witches" like her can live freely.

King: Luz's close friend and Eda's neighbor. Basically, just a sweet dog with delusions of grandeur.

Amity Blight: Initially, her motivation is gaining her mother's approval and maintaining her status as a top student. After meeting Luz, her primary motivation becomes protecting Luz and their friends, as well as becoming the witch she wants to be, not the one her parents mold her to be.

Emperor Belos/Philip Wittebane: His primary motivation is a xenophobic hatred of magic and witches, which he disguises as the "will of the Titan." He seeks to destroy the Boiling Islands to "save" humanity from evil, as he sees it.

Warden Wrath: The warden of the Boiling Isles' main prison, he is known for his cruelty.

Odalia Blythe: Mother of Edric, Amity, and Emira. She sells abominations and weapons based on them, which her husband, Alador, creates.

Rein Whispers: Head of the bard clan and longtime friend of Ida.

Roselle: A witch who works at the Cat CafΓ©. She captures small demons and keeps them in her establishment until they go mad.

Facts.

Facts: The Demon World is inextricably linked to the Human World through a substance called Titan Blood, which sometimes causes leaks between the two worlds and allows entities to cross paths. The byproducts of these leaks inspired folklore, myths, and legends on Earth from parts of the Demon World that found their way into the Human World. Items such as books from the Good Witch Azura franchise and the digestive contents of trash slugs also make their way into the Demon World from Earth. Giraffes originally lived in the Demon World until they were banished to the Human World. Because humans who arrive in the Demon World are extremely rare, little is known about them in the Demon World, but for reasons that are still unknown, there is prejudice against them. The portal serves as a portable bridge between worlds through Titan Blood, but while it can be used anywhere in the Demon World, it appears to open a fixed location in the Human World, specifically Connecticut. There is hair dye in this world.

Description.

Type: World. Location: Alternate dimension. Inhabitants: Residents of the Boiling Islands.

Demon World: The central location, "Owl's House." This terrifying dimension is inhabited by demonic creatures and monsters. It tells the story of a place in the Demon World called the Boiling Islands.

Attractions: Boiling Sea: A sea that boils at lethal temperatures. Boiling Islands: An archipelago made from the remains of a dead Titan, located in the Boiling Sea. Uncharted Island: A mysterious island found somewhere off the coast of the Boiling Islands. Titan Hunter Island: An archipelago of Titan corpses, except for the Boiling Isles, where a mysterious mage captured the Owlbeast and turned it into a curse scroll. A group called the Titan Hunters also lives here.

The water outside the islands is literally boiling hot and will cook you.
