AU SCHOOL!!! In the Rain

The rain poured down in sheets, turning the school courtyard into a murky mirror. Giyuu stood against the wall, motionless, as if oblivious to the water trickling down his hair and shirt.

Sanemi noticed him from afar. He wanted to pass by, as always. But something about this picture stopped him: the wet eyelashes, the downcast eyes, the silence all around.

"Idiot," he muttered, stepping closer and ripping off his jacket. He threw it over Giyu's head like a hood.

Giyu(you) barely looked up.

• It wasn't worth it.

"Shut up," Sanemi snapped. "You'll catch a cold and then you'll whine."

They stood side by side, shoulder to shoulder, under the flimsy canopy that offered no protection. The rain pounded harder and harder, but the close silence felt almost peaceful.

Giyuu lowered his hand, touching Sanemi's fingers—as if by accident. Sanemi didn't pull his hand away.
