Meanwhile, elsewhere in the city, Slade moved through the shadows, infiltrating the secret vault. His objective was to retrieve the stone from one of the vault's safes. He easily eliminated the guards protecting the glowing pink stone one by one. Slade finished off the last guard and made his way to the safe, which was secured by a large metal door requiring a code. He entered the code and entered the vault, searching among the safes for what he needed. He opened the door, and white smoke billowed out, revealing the pink stone. Slade was about to take his objective when he was suddenly interrupted by the Titans. He felt a projectile nearly strike his hands, moving swiftly as he faced the Titans. They were confused, mistaking Slade for Deadpool.
