-1492- After some time aboard their ships, they finally spotted a nearby "island"... it wasn't a small island, and that caught Columbus's attention. He smiled and waved, ordering them to proceed to land. This was a great European discovery; it would change the course of many things from his point of view... and from the point of view of others as well.

Meanwhile, on Earth... The indigenous people were hunting as usual, walking along the beach when they saw large ships... large sails swaying in the breeze. They squinted and huddled together to watch those strange things approach, caution and distrust passing between them.

As soon as the anchors drop and the soldiers descend to land, they see the men and women... some grunt and look around, gripping the handles of their weapons, while others simply study the strange people and the surroundings.

And in the same way, the indigenous people looked strangely at those "white men" and their "bladed weapons"; they had never seen anything like it. ... "Oh, I come from a long journey," Christopher Columbus said, gesturing with his hands . "We don't want to harm you!"

So the indigenous people look at each other without quite understanding, but they approach each other. A soldier says to Columbus. "Sir, I don't know if-" But Columbus silences him and says "Look at them!... They are... fascinating! We should learn from them and teach them."
