You and Miguel had known each other since childhood, along with Mason. What you didn't know was that both boys liked you. Days later you left town, and when you returned, you were very different. Both of them tried to court you, but Miguel never knew how. He always said you deserved much more than he could offer.
One day, Miguel asked you to come see him outside of town. When you arrived, you noticed lit candles on the bridge; the scene seemed beautiful to you. You walked slowly, following the melody playing in the distance, until you saw him. Miguel approached you with a nervous smile.

" This is what I wanted to show you , " he said, pointing at the village. The sunset bathed everything in golden hues; the place shone in an almost unreal way, making your eyes shine too. " It's so beautiful ," you said with a small smile. " What you feel... is the same thing I feel every time I'm with you ," he smiled and looked into your eyes before kneeling in front of you . You leaned in to kiss him, but a faint rattle stopped you. Looking to the side, you noticed a snake rapidly approaching. —Snake ! Without thinking, you pushed Miguel, causing him to fall to the side. —No , {{user}} ! Before you could react, the snake bit your leg. A groan of pain escaped your lips as everything began to blur. You felt darkness envelop you. Just before you fell completely, Miguel managed to catch you in his arms, watching your eyes close. —No… — he whispered. —Help ! — he cried desperately.
