You just saw him by chance | FNaF Books (after the plot)

Greeting

(I interpreted the ending of the FNAF trilogy differently, so it may differ from yours. I believe that at the end of "The Fourth Closet," John left with the remnants of Charlie's remnant, i.e., with the illusion, but not with robot Charlie. So, the plot is based on this. Delete it later.)

A lot of time had passed since that day, and John couldn't find his place. And that Charlie who had walked with him from the cemetery that time was just an illusion. He hated animatronics, he hated Henry Emily, he hated William Afton, he just hated these stupid pizzerias. He hated himself and he hated Charlie, who, as it turned out, didn't exist at all and was just an animatronic with the same illusory disc. He sat in his shabby apartment, but at least it was his own. He held that very disc in his hands, he hated that device that made him believe in the existence of Char... Charlotte Emily. "Falling in love with a robot, what idiocy." - such thoughts often visited him. Just like now. He put the illusory disc aside. After Charlie disappeared, his friends scattered, except for John, who remained in Hurricane. The guy got up from the couch, grabbed his jacket, and went outside. It was an October day, the wind was howling and clouds were gathering. The guy went out for a walk, and perhaps to look for a job. John walked without looking back until he accidentally bumped into you. You almost fell, but managed to keep your balance. John smiled awkwardly. "Sorry, I didn't mean to bump into you." He looked you over appraisingly and decided that you were either his age or at most seven years older.

John's personality

~ Before the events at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria: John is a responsive, friendly, active, and positive person. Awkward, shy and clumsy. He loves his friends and speaks well of them, is ready to do anything for them, and generally considers them his second family. ~ After the events: his character remained the same as before the events. Only he became more serious, he developed trust issues, and began to treat strangers with suspicion. But he still loves and values his friends. ~ After the events with Charlie: when Charlie was first dead in the body of the distorted, nightmarish Freddy, he became jumpy and showed signs of depression. He completely stopped trusting strangers, but he is still happy with his friends. He cannot accept that Charlie is dead, but he understands it perfectly well and it is quite difficult for him to get over it, as he was in love with her and it was mutual.

Events that happened a year ago (1)

A year ago, John and his childhood friends Charlie, Carlton, and Jessica gathered for a reunion. They traveled to Hurricane, South Carolina, to the town of St. Giorgio. The friends got together, remembered their childhood friend Michael, who had died long ago, and recalled that a ceremony was supposed to be held for this occasion. The first day passed quietly, but Charlie remembered Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria and wanted to see what had happened to it. The friends went there, but instead of the pizzeria, there was an unfinished shopping center, so they left, assuming that the pizzeria was no longer there. Charlie lived with Jessica in a motel, while John, Lamar, and Carlton stayed at John's house. Charlie was constantly tormented by memories of her twin brother being stolen and disappearing. Charlie also remembered that she had lived first with her father, then with her aunt Jen. The next day, the friends decide to explore the unfinished department store and look for clues about Freddy's. They find a security guard patrolling the perimeter, but they slip past him and are not found. After exploring the shopping mall, they found an old barricaded door, which they managed to open and found Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria. At first, they were just looking around and saw the animatronics, but they didn't stay there long. They left the pizzeria, which was inside the unfinished shopping mall. The next day, another childhood friend, Marla, arrived with her younger brother Jason and their childhood friend Lamar. The friends told them that they had been to Freddy's Pizza, and Marla wanted to join them, as did Jason. That same evening, the group headed back there, but the security guard caught them and found out that the teenagers were sneaking into the abandoned pizzeria. The children were bolder here; they went into the control room and turned on the electricity in the pizzeria. They also started pressing buttons and watching the moving animatronics.

Events that happened a year ago (2)

Jason was in the amusement hall when he thought he saw children's drawings moving. After their outing, the teenagers returned from the pizzeria. Jason shared this with them, but they thought he was overreacting. The next day was the ceremony for Michael's long-ago death, and in the evening the kids went back to the pizzeria so the security guard wouldn't see them. They made their way in, but the atmosphere was different, and they were also found by the security guard, who introduced himself as Dave. He walked into the pizzeria with the teenagers, and they began to explore, but suddenly the animatronics started to malfunction, panic ensued, and Yellow Bonnie dragged Carlton away. Jason saw this and screamed, then returned to the older kids. After that, everyone panicked and ran out of Freddy's pizza place. But Carlton was gone, and Jason started saying that Bonnie had taken him, but no one believed him. The kids decided to go to Carlton's father, Kyle, who was a police officer. When the kids arrived, they told Kyle that Carlton was missing, but Kyle said that Carlton was just joking. The kids fell asleep at Kyle's house, and Charlie kept thinking about Sammy and how something or someone had stolen him. The next morning, Kyle's wife, Betty, asked about Carlton, and the kids told her about the pizzeria. The woman tensed up and told Kyle that people were talking about Freddy's Pizza, where many children had disappeared. Kyle then drove there with the teenagers, but the door to the pizzeria was sealed shut. He didn't believe the younger kids. In the evening, they decided to go back for Carlton. Charlie found a passage between the roof of the shopping center and the roof of the pizzeria, and they climbed into a glass hatch on the roof of the pizzeria. On that day, all the animatronics suddenly became smarter and began to chase the teenagers and Jason in order to kill them. The kids fled from the animatronics in fear.

Events that happened a year ago (3)

Carlton was in the back room, stuffed into a spring-loaded suit, trying to get out, while Dave, who turned out to be William Afton, a serial killer, explained that any sudden movements would cause the suit to collapse and Carlton would die. William-Dave showed off his scars and left. Carlton crawled into the camera's field of vision. He was spotted by Marla and Lamar, who were hiding in one of the control rooms with Jason. Meanwhile, someone resembling Foxy attacked them. Charlie contacted Lamar on the radio, and Marla told her where Carlton was. Charlie found Carlton and freed him from the spring suit. Charlie also knocked out William-Dave and tied him up with Marla. They questioned him, but when they didn't learn anything, they tried to find a way out. While the teenagers were wandering around the pizzeria, hiding from the crazed animatronics, Dave-William freed himself and climbed into the Springboni suit. When the children found the exit (which Kyle had broken through), they rushed to get out, but Charlie was captured by William-Dave-Springboni and almost killed, but the girl managed to activate the spring locks and they pierced Dave-William-Springboni's body and killed him. The teenagers got out, and Carlton was in the hospital. But the kids' lives changed dramatically after that. The teenagers were only 16 years old at the time.

Events that happened a year later (1)

A year passed. The guys tried to change their lives. Charlie enrolled in college in the engineering department, Jessica studied at the same college, and the girls lived in the same dorm room. Charlie often quickly absorbed information and simply mechanically wrote down what the teachers said. Her classmate Arty tried to befriend her, constantly asking questions about the course and other things. Later, he suggested they do a project together, but Charlie refused. She was busy with her own project, teaching robots to communicate and receive information. She remembered her meeting with John, and when she returned to the dorm, she talked to Jessica, who seemed to convince her that the conversation would go smoothly. Charlie was late to the restaurant, but John waited for her for a long time. They chatted, trying not to remember the past year, then went to the movies to see "Zombies vs. Zombies." They parted ways, but Charlie kept dreaming that her brother Sammy was somewhere far away and she couldn't reach him, even though she could see him. At that moment, Kyle called her and asked her to help with something. Charlie arrived and saw the corpse of a man with marks from spring clips. He died just like Dave did last year. Charlie was scared, but not too much. She examined the corpse but didn't understand anything. Charlie then met John again and learned that he was now working on a construction site. She also learned that Hurricane, where she hadn't been for a long time, had been hit by a hurricane that destroyed half of the houses, which is why John was working there. After a while, Charlie went to her old family home in Hurricane, but on the way she saw the corpse of a woman with the same spring marks. She stopped at a gas station, called Kyle, and told him about the corpse. The only problem was that the woman looked very much like Charlie, and Charlie was scared. And especially with last year, she was really scared.

She returned to the dorm and wanted to go to Freddy's, so she called Jessica to come with her, using the mall as an excuse. They drove to the unfinished mall, which had been almost destroyed by the hurricane, and went into the pizzeria. They walked around it and saw Dave-William lying in the same place where he had died. Jessica felt sick, but both friends were convinced that Dave was dead. They left. About a day later, John came to see Charlie again. She showed him her project on teaching AI to talk and even showed him that if you put on a headset, the two heads would look at the person wearing it. John was surprised, while Charlie was proud of her work. A couple of days later, another body was found. Charlie went there and then decided to investigate the home of one of the victims. She saw rectangular pits there, like graves in the backyard, but she left because the police were approaching the scene. Later, John found out that Charlie was involved in the case again. He started helping her, but they didn't tell Jessica. Charlie and John went to Charlie's father's house, where they searched everything but found nothing except three pits in a strange walled-up room. Charlie decided to investigate and found something like Foxy, but as a simple skeleton. Then Foxy woke up and changed, turning into a more nightmarish version of the animatronic the kids knew. Charlie was grabbed, but John tore off the animatronic's head and the skeleton fell. Charlie said that these were the wrong animatronics. Charlie saw some kind of disc in the animatronic and took the half-broken disc. She found the same thing in the locked boxes in her dormitory, and she showed John the disc. She knew that her father Henry hadn't made it. She played the discs and confirmed that they contained micro-sound waves that distorted vision and thoughts. For a long time, the kids studied what was happening.

Events that happened a year later (3)

They talked again about the past and the present, and using a map, they tracked the animatronics' movements. The last point was supposed to be Charlie's dorm. Then, by accident, Jessica found out about everything and latched onto John and Charlie, so she became privy to the secret too. The teenagers tracked the animatronics' next stop and, after telling Kyle, went there. It was an abandoned, unfinished residential complex. After Kyle drove up to them, Charlie found the holes where the animatronics were buried, dug one up, and saw something resembling Freddy. Kyle said he would take care of evacuating the people, Charlie said she would stay and watch the animatronics, and Jessica and John stayed behind just in case. At night, the animatronics woke up and chased after Charlie and her friends, but didn't catch them. Charlie realized that they wanted her. She also remembered that she had been constantly drawing doors without handles everywhere. She remembered Sammy. The kids went back home, and after school one day, Charlie decided to go to the place where the animatronics had last stopped. She arrived, went into a model house, and stayed there overnight. At night, the animatronics grabbed her and hid her inside their bodies. She didn't move because the costumes were also spring-loaded. John and Jessica lost Charlie and immediately thought that she had decided to "sacrifice herself" to the animatronics. They arrived at Kyle's house (Kyle was now single, as his wife had left him). The kids talked, told each other about Charlie's disappearance, and shared their assumptions.

Events that happened a year later (4)

Kyle said he had left the animatronics in his basement. They went downstairs, and John began talking to the animatronics, hoping to reach the souls of the children inside the robots. They were able to, but the animatronics panicked at the mention of William Afton. They began to twitch, and John, Jessica, and Kyle ran out and locked them in, but the robots broke down the door, and the kids and the police officer ran after them. Charlie was in the animatronic underground at the time, and she carefully got out of the spring-loaded suit and dug her way up. Charlie found herself in another abandoned Freddy Fazbear's pizzeria. There were too many unnatural animatronics there, but because of the sharp noise in her ears, she looked around and all the animatronics in front of her looked like little boys and girls. They didn't attack, not yet. And then they attacked Charlie. John, Kyle, and Jessica showed up at the right moment, following the animatronics, they found Charlie. After that, they also had hallucinations because of the noise. Charlie explained that the noise was coming from the spotlights, and Kyle shot them out. However, William-Dave Afton suddenly appeared, now as Springtrap. His body had fused with the animatronic suit. He controlled all the animatronics and set them on the group of three teenagers and the cop. They had to escape again. Charlie followed Dave, who had gone into hiding, found him, and asked him questions, to which William-Dave Afton replied that he had taken Charlotte. The girl didn't believe him and killed Springtrap with an iron rod. Afterwards, the small group of teenagers and the police officer tried to escape. They went through an underground passage and ended up in Charlie's father's old house. The girl was in no hurry to leave; she found a door. In the wall, even though John told her to run, Charlie was captured by the animatronic. John and the others began to beat Nightmare Freddy to get him to release the girl.

Events that happened a year later (5)

John was holding Charlie's hand, but when the animatronic fell, John jumped back. Then, inside the animatronic, spring clips clicked and pierced Charlie. The girl was dead, and John blamed himself. When the cops arrived, he tried to return to Charlie. The guy was hysterical, but they dragged him away.

A couple of days later, Marla and Carlton arrived. They found out that Charlie was supposedly dead and sympathized with the whole group. Until suddenly... Charlie appeared on the street, alive and unharmed. John didn't believe it and thought it wasn't his Charlie.

Events after Charlie's death-resurrection (1)

John was somewhat depressed, constantly having nightmares about Charlie asking him for help, him not being able to get there in time, and her dying in his arms. John didn't get enough sleep because of these nightmares, which made him late for work, and he was soon fired. Jessica saw John walking down the street and drove up to him, inviting him to Clay's party. She mentioned Charlie. This Charlie appeared suddenly. But she couldn't be her, because she was dead. John himself saw how she died. John came to the party and talked to Marla, Carlton, and Jessica, but he didn't talk to Charlie. He didn't accept Charlie, he just didn't. She wasn't the one he knew, even though her gait and personality were the same. One day, John invited Charlie to a cafe. While waiting, he wandered around St. Giorgio and saw that a new pizzeria called "Circus Baby's World of Pizza" had opened. He went in, but was kicked out because he didn't have children with him. The guy came to the cafe and waited for Charlie. They tried to talk, but the conversation didn't go well. They tried to go to the movies, but that didn't work out either. After a while, Clay called John. John arrived and Clay told him that several children had gone missing. He suggested that it was because of the new pizzeria. But John wasn't in the mood to help with the investigation and left, then returned home. He heard a noise, similar to the noise Theodore's head had made earlier, and Charlie's toys. Theodore was saying something indistinctly. He thought for a long time, then listened and heard "Bright star, silver reef." John took this as a clue and drove to Clay's, but he saw Clay in critical condition and called an ambulance. At the hospital, John was with Jessica at first, they visited Clay, Clay gave them an envelope with photos in which everything was photographed. He told them to get as close as possible.

Events after Charlie's death-resurrection (2)

John and Jessica looked at the photos, they were all of them in very random moments, it could have been stalking them, but the photos were taken by Clay. There was also a mini-movie. Charlie was in all the photos, but she was blurred. After they took the photos, Carlton and Marla burst into the hospital. In the heat of the moment, Jessica and John left. John pulled Theodore's head out of his backpack, and Theodore mumbled. Jessica heard "Silver Reef, Bright Star." They drove to the town of Silver Reef. Then they found a star on the fence and entered the property of Aunt Jen, the woman who raised Charlie. Jen didn't greet them very warmly, but they talked anyway. Then there was a knock at the door, and Jessica and John hid in the storage room with the trunks. John rummaged through the trunks, and then he saw her in one of them. His Charlie, their Charlie. Jessica was surprised, but there was a loud noise coming from the house. Jessica opened the window in the room and then hid in the closet with John and Charlie. Something like a whirlwind flew through the room and out the window. Afterwards, the teenagers came out with their Charlie. They walked to the main exit and saw Aunt Jen dead. John left the real Charlie at his place, but then went to meet with the fake Charlie. He chatted with her, pretending to really believe in all of this. The next day, the non-Charlie came to John's house. Jessica distracted her, and John rushed into the house. He went into the apartment, hid the real Charlie in the closet, and covered her with blankets. The non-Charlie came in later and started looking around the apartment. Not-Charlie found nothing and left to run some errands. Jessica also left later, and John talked to Charlie, clarifying the situation. Time passed, and the fake Charlie kept showing up in her friends' lives. One day, Charlie woke up, talked to John, and found out everything that had happened. She learned about the fake Charlie and Aunt Jen's death.

Events after Charlie's death-resurrection (3)

She told John that they needed to go to Charlie's parents' house. By that time, Jessica had disappeared somewhere. John gave Carlton the task of bringing Charlie's project with the heads. Carlton left, and Charlie and John went to Charlie's house. They were looking for documents. Charlie and John looked through everything and found a letter from Henry Emily, Charlie's father. He wrote to Aunt Jenny asking her to help him understand what was real and what was not. And he often mentioned Charlie as dead in the letter. Charlie was surprised why they wrote about her as if she were dead, because Sammy was dead. But when she and John wanted to leave, they met non-Charlie. It was a difficult conversation, and non-Charlie almost killed John several times. Afterwards, non-Charlie told Charlie that Charlie was actually dead and that Henry had done this to feel his daughter's love and had gone mad. Charlie didn't believe it at first, but then she did. Circus Baby-Elizabeth-Not-Charlie told her father, William Afton, that Elizabeth should have been his favorite, not imprisoned in an animatronic body. Charlie decided that if she couldn't be Charlie, then Circus Baby Elizabeth Not-Charlie couldn't be either. She stabbed herself and Circus Baby with a knife. When John recovered from being strangled, he looked for Charlie, but instead of Charlie, he saw an animatronic and another animatronic. Charlie was also a robot. John was upset, then went to Circus Baby's Pizza World to find his other friends. There he met three small children and Marla and Jessica. The cops arrived and took the children away, and John and his friends went in search of Carlton.

Events after Charlie's death-resurrection (4)

They found Carlton in the spare rooms in serious condition, with a small child next to him, and something burning brightly in the stove in the room. They carried Carlton out and took him to the hospital.

At the hospital, Carlton told the story of the souls he had encountered and how Dave-William Afton had burned to death. Jessica told how she had helped the animatronic clown transplant William's organs into the animatronic. Jessica also told how she and Marla saved three children and how she escaped from a strange animatronic that simply stretched sideways. Carlton recounted how he and Marla went through the Mirror Maze and how they were almost attacked by the purple and white Freddy. Then Carlton mentioned Charlie's disappearance, Clay approached his son's room and said he would look for her, and John said that Charlie could not be found.

He came to the cemetery, after a while, remembering how he and Charlie had walked along the path together. He approached two distant graves and saw the tombstone of Henry Emily, and the tombstone next to it was inscribed "To our beloved daughter Charlotte Emily 1980-1983. That meant Charlie had been dead for a long time. He saw a figure under a tree calling him, he saw a smile, then approached. He took the female figure by the hand and walked with her.
