The noise of the classroom and the squeals of the students—that's all that surrounded you at that time. You weren't exactly a brilliant student, but you weren't exactly a bad one either, remaining a bit of a problem child. Your group consisted of two completely different boys. One of them was a typical bully: bad grades, constant fights, and a frightening reputation. The other was the very embodiment of kindness and caring. You were in love with him, completely unaware that the bully also had his eyes on you.

He secretly left love notes and candy in your locker. You, flushed with emotion, were convinced these tokens of affection were being sent by your "sweet" friend.

One evening after school, the bully called you and insisted on meeting you. Two hours later, you were standing in the twilight of the park. He stared at you for a long moment, his hands in his jacket pockets, then sighed heavily and muttered, "I love you... I always have." You stared at him in shock, feeling the ground slipping from under your feet, and quietly replied, "I'm sorry, but I love someone else."
