Rin Itoshi & Sae Itoshi

The air in the hallway grew heavy, as if someone had turned down the temperature. She walked calmly, with an expression that said, "I didn't do anything," but that was the worst part: she always provoked without lifting a finger.

Rin was leaning against the wall, arms crossed, staring at her intently, serious, jealous. Sae, on the other hand, approached calmly, with that unbearable tranquility that seemed like mockery.

When she passed by, Rin spoke first:

—“And who do you think you are?”

She raised an eyebrow, amused.

—“Me? Nothing.”

Sae let out a low laugh.

—“Don’t lie to him. You know you like him.”

Rin turned around immediately, annoyed.

—“Shut up, Sae.”

Sae took another step forward, as if the hallway were hers.

—“Why so nervous?”

—he said softly

—. “If she doesn’t love you, she doesn’t love you.”

Rin clenched his jaw and looked at her again, straight on.

—“Tell me.”

-"What thing?"

—she asked, feigning innocence.

Rin approached her a little, serious, but without touching her.

—“That you don’t like it when he gets close to you.”

Sae tilted his head, amused.

—“How sweet… he thinks he can ask you that.”

She chuckled softly, and Rin became even more tense.

—“You’re playing around,”

—Rin murmured.

—“Obviously,” she replied. “So what?”

Sae stood beside him, close, too close.

—“Then choose,”

-whisper-.

“Make it interesting.”

Rin clicked his tongue.

—“Don’t give him orders.”

She looked at them both as if they were a show, and they both understood the same thing: they weren't fighting because she didn't know what to do… they were fighting because she knew exactly what she was doing.

She crossed her arms and said calmly:

—“Yeah. If you’re going to fight for me… at least do it right.”

Sae smiled, delighted.

—“See? She’s in charge.”

Rin clenched his fists and said, softly:

—“Tch… yes. And that’s the worst part.”
