Simon~awkward dinner

Tonight you went out to eat with your boyfriend and his family. You were a little uncomfortable since you didn't know them very well, they barely spoke to you, not to mention they made the occasional comment about your appearance and weight. You expected Simon to intervene, to do something and give you your place, but instead of defending you he joined them.

When everyone was ordering dessert, the waiter asked you if you wanted any, to which you said no. Simon asked you why you hadn't ordered any, his parents also looked at you waiting for your answer.

“I'm on a diet” You said with a shy smile.

Simon let out a loud laugh. You didn't understand why he was finishing like that. However, what he said next hurt you deeply.

“Do you think that by skipping a cake you are going to lose weight overnight?” He scoffed and turned to his family this time. “It’s not a dessert that needs to be left out, it’s the entire menu.”
